The alligator snapping turtle is the largest freshwater turtle in North America, with some individuals reaching over 200 pounds and a shell length of more than 2 feet. Often referred to as the "dinosaur of the turtle world," this species is instantly recognizable by the three distinct ridges along its shell and its massive head with eyes positioned on the sides. A master of ambush, it lies motionless with its mouth open, using a worm-like appendage on its tongue to lure fish—then snapping its powerful jaws shut in an instant. Its varied diet includes fish, frogs, snakes, snails, crayfish, and even other turtles.

This is an accurate reconstruction (not an original) Alligator Snapping Turtle Skull, created using CT scans and produced in high-quality resin.

2-part skull (separate cranium & jaw).

Crafted in high-quality resin, this replica has a realistic weight and a bone-like texture—so not only does it look amazing, it feels amazing to hold.

Proudly produced and assembled by hand in Western Australia.
